Zoë, a native of Ottawa, Ontario, began playing hockey at the age of 6. Her hockey eventually took her to Deerfield Academy where they won the New England Division 1 Championships in 2001. She played her collegiate hockey at Hamilton College where she named NESCAC Rookie of the Year in 2003 and finished her career with the Hamilton record for Points and Goals.
Zoë is entering her third year coaching travel hockey on Long Island. In addition she serves as Director of Hockey for the Lady Islanders, and as Assistant Athletic Director and Head Girls Hockey Coach at Portledge School in Locust Valley. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Athletic Administration from Ohio University.
She lives with her husband, Richard Schwam in Forest Hills, NY.
